Experian honored with 2 awards at the 2017/18 Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme
On 8th December, Experian won “Meritorious Family-Friendly Employers 2017/18” and “Awards for Breastfeeding Support 2017/18” at the Annual Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme in Hong Kong.
Organised by Home Affairs Bureau of HKSAR & Family Council, the Award Scheme aims at raising awareness of the employers of the importance of family core values, and fostering a pro-family culture and environment, meanwhile, giving recognition to employers that demonstrate a family-friendly spirit and encouraging them to implement family-friendly employment policies and practices. It’s worthwhile to mention that the Family Council is an advisory body to the Government, providing a high-level platform for examining family-related policies and promoting a culture of loving families in the community. The Award Scheme was open for applications from January 2018, presenting total 7 awards.
Members of the judging panel were impressed by Experian’s demonstrated commitment in the implementation of the family-friendly employment policies and practices. For example,
- Extraordinary Maternity (17 weeks with full payment VS HK market norm – 10 weeks with 4/5 payment) & Paternity (12 days with full payment VS HK market norm – 0-3 days with 4/5 payment) benefits
- Flexibility on Work Hour
- Excellent Medical Insurance Coverage to Employees and Family Members (Spouse & Dependents)
- Management Support on Implementation of Family-friendly Workplace Policies, etc.
