Experian honored with 2 awards at the 2017/18 Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme

On 8th December, Experian won “Meritorious Family-Friendly Employers 2017/18” and “Awards for Breastfeeding Support 2017/18” at the Annual Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme in Hong Kong.

Organised by Home Affairs Bureau of HKSAR & Family Council, the Award Scheme aims at raising awareness of the employers of the importance of family core values, and fostering a pro-family culture and environment, meanwhile, giving recognition to employers that demonstrate a family-friendly spirit and encouraging them to implement family-friendly employment policies and practices. It’s worthwhile to mention that the Family Council is an advisory body to the Government, providing a high-level platform for examining family-related policies and promoting a culture of loving families in the community. The Award Scheme was open for applications from January 2018, presenting total 7 awards.

Members of the judging panel were impressed by Experian’s demonstrated commitment in the implementation of the family-friendly employment policies and practices. For example,

  • Extraordinary Maternity (17 weeks with full payment VS HK market norm – 10 weeks with 4/5 payment) & Paternity (12 days with full payment VS HK market norm – 0-3 days with 4/5 payment) benefits
  • Flexibility on Work Hour
  • Excellent Medical Insurance Coverage to Employees and Family Members (Spouse & Dependents)
  • Management Support on Implementation of Family-friendly Workplace Policies, etc.

“Receiving the two awards from the Family Council is the best reward for our persistence in advocating our culture code – People Really Matters. Experian regards staff as the most important asset to achieve long-term stable development. We are committed to creating a pleasant working environment, believing that high-level employee satisfaction and loyalty is the key for the company to maintain high performance,” said Jian Huang, Managing Director of Experian Greater China.

Experian’s operations in Hong Kong now cover three major areas, namely Decisioning & Analytics, Identity & Fraud as well as Data Quality & Audience Targeting. The company combines its impeccable experience in financial risk control and big data to help businesses make smarter decisions and thrive, and organisations prevent identity fraud and crime.
